Fellowship Leaders

Our Leaders

Our leaders are Neale & Barbara Goetsch, John & Linda Begin and Bryan Shingler. Neale and Barbara have lived in the Loughborough area for over thirty years! John and Linda arrived in Loughborough in 1988, and retired school teacher Bryan Shingler has lived in Loughborough almost all his life.

Each of our leaders has a strong desire to live in obedience to Jesus Christ and to tell others of the love of God, and each is uniquely gifted in their ministry in the Fellowship.

In 1996 Neale and Barbara and John and Linda were encouraged when each couple independent of the other felt God was calling them to start a new ministry in Loughborough.

Both couples were heavily involved in the lives of many internationals in Loughborough including working together with others in hosting the International Tea – a popular event that continues still! John and Linda also organised a mid-week Bible study in their home for international residents and students. But it was felt that these events were not sufficient to build people up to reach their full potential as members of the Body of Christ.

After much prayer and discussion with other Christians in and around Loughborough the Sunday Family Fellowship was launched on Father’s Day, June 15, 1997 with a particular emphasis to make meetings suitable for those who had no background in the Bible or Christianity.

Since our small beginnings God has richly blessed in the lives of residents and students, and we continue to see His blessings as more people learn about Him and find true joy and peace through Jesus Christ.
